Horse & Rider Sessions

I’ve spent 20 years in the horse industry as a working youth and now an adult amateur, spending day in and day out with my hands on horses - not only riding, but the grunt work, the not-so-pretty parts, and all of the details that a non-horse person wouldn’t understand.

I understand the depth of the relationship between a horse and rider - the blood, sweat, and tears that separate the good from the great.

I understand the importance of the details, and I deeply value the importance of partnership and relationship building in this industry.

Regardless of your equestrian background, whether you’re a hunter or dressage rider, a western pleasure girl or a reiner, if you don’t ride at all and just love the animal - your story with your horse deserves to be told.

what to expect…

  • To begin the booking process, fill out the inquiry form here. Once we set a date for your session, I’ll send over a proposal where you can select your package, sign your contract, and pay your 50% deposit. At that point, you’ll officially be booked in!

  • When it comes to planning, I can offer as much or as little support as you’d like! I’m happy to help you choose what to wear or swap inspiration photos. You will recieve a welcome guide from me with styling advice as well as tips and tricks to prepare for your session, and I’m happy to answer any questions you have.

  • The day we’ve been waiting for! Most of my sessions take place in the evening during golden hour. I’ll aim to arrive a few minutes early to give us a chance to scout out locations with the perfect lighting and backgrounds, and get acquainted with each other.

    My style of posing is pretty natural, so while I’ll give gentle direction and prompts for variety without making you feel forced or awkward.

  • After your session is over, I’ll cull out everything that is repetitive (because who wants 10 photos in a row that look identical) or unflattering (because I’m here to make you look GOOD!). Everything worth keeping will be edited in my signature style, and then delivered to you in a private online gallery where you can download your images.

    Turnaround times can vary depending on my overall workload - 2-4 weeks during slower periods, or 6-8 weeks during busier times. I’ll be sure to communicate with you on what you can expect for timelines and send previews to hold you over!

Saying goodbye is the hardest part of what we do as horse owners, and your best friend deserves to be remembered with love and dignity.

These sessions are offered at no cost to owners with senior or terminally ill horses - all I ask for is for you to cover my mileage, if applicable.
